The Caterpillar Poetry Prize 2018 Deadline: 31 March 2018 Prizes: A prize of €1,000 is given to the best poem. Details: If you have written a poem you think would appeal to 7–11-year olds, then why not enter the prestigious Caterpillar Poetry Prize? Ballyroan Library Poetry Competition 2018 The Ballyroan Library Poetry Competition 2018 is open until April 5, 2018 open to poets aged 18 and over and based in Dublin. Submit by email only ballyroanlibrarypoetrycomp@gmail.com. No set theme, poems must not exceed 40 lines and they must be original and unpublished. Submit up to 2 poems.Prizes: €100, €50, €30 and all poems will be published on South Dublin Libraries’ website. Deviant Minds is a writing prize open to unagented authors, with an unpublished adult crime novel or thriller. The Edinburgh International Flash Fiction Award The winner will receive £500, an invitation to participate and perform during the annual Scottish Arts Club Short Story Awards Dinner, publication in an anthology, a trophy and a dedicated page on their new website. The 12th Aesthetica Creative Writing Award Deadline: 31 August 2018 Prizes: Include: £1,000 for the Short Fiction and Poetry winners, publication in the Aesthetica Creative Writing Annual for 60 finalists, Consultation with Redhammer Management, membership to the Poetry Society, one year subscription to Granta and a selection of books courtesy of Bloodaxe and Vintage. Details: Celebrating excellence in Poetry and Short Fiction, the Creative Writing Award is a platform for emerging and established poets and writers to showcase their work to an international audience.
